It looks like Isadore had at least two siblings who also emigrated to the United Stated:
- Louis Rothman (1881 -?)
- Anna Rothman Natalizia (Natt) (1899 – 1963)
I base this on documents I found showing the Hirsch was the father of both Louis and Anna and that both of them also came from the Lodz area of Poland.
Louis Rothman
Louis married Fannie in 1906 in New York. [1] They had 4 children:
- Annie, b. 1906
- Harry, b. 1908
- Abraham 1912 – 1977
- Lillian 1918 – 2017
According to the 1910 Federal Census, he was living in Paterson, New Jersey, at 14a Governor Street. He was working as a weaver in a silk mill. [2]

It looks like he left New Jersey and moved his family to Brooklyn, NY. They are listed in the 1925 NY State Census as living on Herkimer Street. [3]

Anna Rothman Natalizia (Natt)
Anna Rothman married outside of her Jewish religion. In those days, her family might have sat shiva for her and considered her dead to them. Because the children of her brother, Isador, have no memory of her branch of the family, this is probably what happened.
However, another theory is that she was living in New York and Isadore and his family lived in New Jersey. It might have been hard to stay in touch due to the distance, and whether or not they had telephones. At this time, we do not know who kept in touch with Louis and his family.
Anyway, Anna married Alfred (Antonio) Natalizia on March 9, 1925, in New York City. (4) The copy of their marriage record is from family documents.

They had two children:
- Elaine (1926 – 2018)
- Harold (1931 – 2013)
According to family stories, Antonio Natalizia formally changed his name to Alfred Natt in 1943. It appears that Anna raised her children in the Jewish religion. Alfred converted to Judiasm around 1943, about a year before his son, Harold, was Bar Mitzvahed.
From family stories, we know she was not pleased when Harold married a non-Jewish woman in 1956. As a matter of fact, in 1958, when Harold called his parents to tell them they had a new grandson, David (1958 – 1992), the only question Anna asked was what religion would he be raised in. When the answer was Catholic, they decided never to lay eyes on the baby.
When Alfred (Antonio) passed away in 1960, Harold went to the funeral. His cousins asked how he got there so fast. They had been told he was in the Air Force living across the US. They had no idea he lived in Brooklyn with a wife and child.
Because Alfred converted, he and Anna are buried together in Montifiore Cemetery in Queens, New York. [5]
