Arthur and Lynn

Arthur and Lynn / Lillian Weinberg Levine are the parents of Anna Levine. Actually, these are their Americanized names. From various documents we can see that their names were really Asher or Avrum Lewin and Leie Weinberg

From the translation of the Hebrew on Anna / Hanna’s gravestone we learn that she is the daughter of

“Mr. Asher the Kohain”. [1] [2]

From Anna’s ship manifest, we learned she was living with her mother, Leie Levin. [3]

From Isador’s and Anna’s marrige listing we learn her name was Chana Lewin. [4]

Isadore and Anna's Wedding Record

From Isadore Rothman’s ship manifest, we learn that he is headed to his brother-in-law’s home. Max Lewin was named as his brother-in-law. [5]

Arthur and Lillian (the names used in Anna’s obituary), had at least three children:

  • Anna / Chana
  • Max
  • Abe

At this point in time, we do not know anything about Max or Abe, other than Max was living in New York City in 1904 when Isadore arrived.
